The question of whether or not insects have awareness or are conscious have been debated for centuries. Philosophers have come down hard on either side of this argument, without any real reference to insect neurobiology. In the last couple of years entomologists have started weighing in on this topic and we have seen the beginnings of theories grounded in hard biological facts. With this symposium we wish to gather entomologists to help solidify the key challenges and opportunities in this burgeoning field.
Journals participating in Peerage of Science
Available before, during and after the peer review process. All Select destinations have concurrent access to all ongoing peer review processes, and the right to make direct publishing offers to you. Note that journals may require additional in-house peer review.
Available only after the peer review process is complete. Submission to a Connect destination exports the process exclusively and cancels any existing offers from The Select destinations (the traditional "no simultaneous consideration" policy). However, you can cancel export later by exporting to another Connect destination, or by returning the process to full availability. Note that journals may require additional in-house peer review.
You can create a link to the peer review process and give it to editors of any journal of your choice in a traditional submission. Using the link is a free service for both you and the receiving journal.
