Symposium: Revisiting the biosafety of exotic generalist arthropod biological control agents
call closes when slots are filled
Generalist arthropod biological control agents (GABCA) have lagged behind other biological control agents because of a lack of suitable environmental risk assessment (ERA) to assess biosafety.A multicountry (16) and international expert panel (60) (named ERA-GABCA, https://goo.gl/forms/8TDVE21Q9mf6VcIe2) was created in 2018-2019 to build on previous methods for ERA, to improve criteria to evaluate their biosafety. We will communicate the main outcomes to help to resuscitate and disseminate knowledge in this neglected area, to stimulate discussion on future improvements and share new advances.
Journals participating in Peerage of Science
Available before, during and after the peer review process. All Select destinations have concurrent access to all ongoing peer review processes, and the right to make direct publishing offers to you. Note that journals may require additional in-house peer review.
Available only after the peer review process is complete. Submission to a Connect destination exports the process exclusively and cancels any existing offers from The Select destinations (the traditional "no simultaneous consideration" policy). However, you can cancel export later by exporting to another Connect destination, or by returning the process to full availability. Note that journals may require additional in-house peer review.
You can create a link to the peer review process and give it to editors of any journal of your choice in a traditional submission. Using the link is a free service for both you and the receiving journal.
